HOLLOW WOODS stand mainly for rough black metal, presenting darkness and rage. Without keyboards or other softeners they deliver a classic underground black metal album in terms of atmosphere. There is a melodic undertone as well and sometimes the songs are even majestic because of slow pace or clean, Primordial-like screams ("A frozen glance"). The vocals often come close to death metal depths and the roughness reminds me at Deströyer 666 or similar black thrash bands. H.L.
